Recipe Linky: Yummy Main Dish

Whoops!

I realized while pulling into the driveway today that I probably didn't hit schedule on this blogpost. After unloading the vehicle from our Father's Day festivities, I came in to check. Nope. I sure didn't! Sorry for the late posting, but I sure hope that doesn't stop anyone from linking up! The linky is open all week, so feel free to join in at any time :)  I'm sure enjoying reading up on your favorite recipes, Pinterest finds, and even restaurant recommendations too!

My main dish that I'm sharing with you is called "Sweet and Sour Meatballs." They are really hard to describe. It's not the sweet and sour taste found at many Chinese restaurants, nor is it a barbeque sauce found on many meatballs. It's a tasty, almost tangy sauce that really brings the meatballs to life. Since I'm at a lack of good words to describe them, I guess you'll just have to make them to find out how they taste :)

{I cannot find my picture... boo!}

Sweet & Sour Meatballs
Total Time aprox. 1.5 hours

Meatball Mixture
1 pound ground beef
Pepper to taste
1/2 c. onion, chopped
1/2 c. milk
1 c. cracker crumbs
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped

Sauce Mix--I like lots of sauce to cover well you can halve this if you'd like
1 c. apple cider vinegar
4 T. brown sugar
1 c. ketchup
1 1/2-3 T. Worcestershire sauce  {I just dump some in slowly until it smells good, so it's a bit to taste, or smell}

Mix all of the meat mixture ingredients together. Form into small balls, about 1 in. Place in a baking dish (at least a 9 x 9... sometimes I use 2 pans so they aren't squished and bake more evenly).
Mix sauce ingredients together in a separate bowl.
Cover meatballs with sauce in the baking pans.
Bake uncovered at 350* for 1 hour.
