Eating, Drinking & Linking, Oh My! (Monday Made It Too!)

I updated this to join in with Monday Made It  from the 4th Grade Frolics as well... I forgot that I actually had time to finish a project last week! To see chevron loveliness please scroll to the bottom... or if you want to see my new linky (think recipe-exchange) please continue reading! :)

I absolutely love summer. The lazy, hazy, and sometimes hectic days are always full of fun times with family and friends. During all of these gatherings there are a few things that bring everyone closer together: whether its a cool drink poolside, smores over a campfire, or family favorites at a potluck dinner...food is a central piece.

Summer also offers some extra time for trying new dishes, desserts and drinks. Whether your at home making some family favorites or trying something new or out and about trying a new restaurant; it's just a fun time of a year.

Having those thoughts in mind, this linky was created.

By the way... isn't Michelle from the 3AM Teacher absolutely amazing!?!? I love, love, love it!

Do you have a family favorite recipe? Share it!
Is there a recipe that you pinned and loved? Or that you pinned and what to try? Share it!
Are there some local hotspots that are great? Share it!
Is there a place your visiting this summer that your wanting to try? Share it!
Is there a dessert, drink, eat, or other food-related topic you want to chat about? Share it!

Do not feel like you have to have step by step, picture filled posts, but if you want to that's great. This is just meant to be a fun summer topic.

Basically, have fun, and be ready for some pin-worthy posts! The linkys will be open for a week, each week, all summer long!

This recipe come from one of the gals I co-taught with this last year. I forgot about a school potluck and needed to make a dessert. She told me about a quick 2 ingredient dessert that added more pizazz than the brownies I was going to bring.
Picture by Beurrista... they have a homemade cookie version (mine looks like this...but is semi-homemade)...I would have taken a picture, but I was hungry... make these and you won't blame me :)

PB & Chocolate Chip Cups

Ingredients/ Materials
1 pkg. square Pillsbury chocolate chip cookie dough  (24 in a pack)
1 pkg. individual/miniature sized Reese's peanut butter cups (a pack with a least 24...more if sample like me!)
mini muffin tin

How To:
*Preheat oven to 350*
*Place one cookie square into each mini-muffin compartment
*When oven is heated, put cookies in for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown (I have a tendency to take cookies out sooner, so they are softer, so bake to your preference).
*While baking, unwrap 24 miniature peanut butter cups. (Unwrap more if you like Reese's like me, and eat a few).
*As soon as cookies are done, push one peanut butter cup into each cookie until the pb cup is about even with the top of the cookie.
*Let cool, once cool, remove and serve. Gently twist to remove from pan. Using a butter knife around the edges can help too.

So easy. So tasty. The hardest part is unwrapping the peanut butter cups (or not devouring them all before sharing!)

I'm looking forward to all that you have to share. Be sure to leave some love or pin things to try as you bop along to other blogs.

For my Monday Made It...

I am switching over to general education 4th grade this year. Last year I had a lot of browns in my room, this year, I'm wanting to brighten things up a bit {and let's be honest, chevron is just plain beautiful right now!}

So to kick things off I created some schedule cards with bright chevron from the amazing Megan at I Teach, What's Your Super Power?

I'm still trying to decide if I want to use bright & white  or two toned colors. I know for sure though that I'm going to use at least two of the colors. Which is why I bundled the various options. (There are separate packs of each color too!)

I made 76 different classes/activities on the cards I thought others would like to add some brightness to their rooms too. All of these can be found at my TPT store, on sale today too! :)

Happy eating, drinking, and linking! And creating too!

  1. oOO I will HAVE to pop back on here in a few days and post to you a very simple Chocolate cupcake with Choc-Coffee Icing! So yummmm and I've even substituted GF flour in instead and used canola butter so there is no dairy and it was STILL yum! :)

So nice to relax and discuss food and tasty things outside of our ever busy job!

  4. Those little cookie muffins look so good! I wish I would have seen the recipe earlier - I had a potluck yesterday and tried a brownie mix with peanut butter added, not the best recipe I found on Pinterest! I am following you so that I can build up my recipes!
