April Currently!!

I know I have mentioned it the last couple of months, but I seriously cannot believe how fast this year has FLOWN! It seems like just a blink or two ago and I was gearing up as my first day as a teacher, now there are only 40 school days left until we are done. Crazy!

With the quickly passing days it just makes it that much closer to one of my favorite linkys: Farley's Currently!

Listening: To our lab pup Remi {short for Remington, she'll hopefully be a good bird dog/hunting partner for my husband} is attacking her new toy duck. It makes a realistic-ish type of a quack. She loves it. She plays with it from dusk till dawn (so maybe that'll mean she will be a great hunting dog!)

Loving: My blog design. Didn't Megan do great?!? I L-O-V-E IT! (I may or may not stop by my blog frequently just to admire it...maybe)

Thinking: I cannot wait for state testing to be over with! A week from Friday and the three weeks of testing mayhem will be over. It can't end too soon.

Wanting: To pin like crazy for next year. I cannot wait to teach 4th grade!! (I'm just trying to wait until state testing and my last IEP's are overwith to really go into a full out pinning frenzy :)

Needing: To finish out the year strong. I feel like I'm in need of some inspiration. Especially when it comes to planning. Maybe it's been the test prep... the nicer weather... but I've been in some planning blahs the last couple of weeks.

Advice: Take a moment and enjoy. Even in the midst of testing woes my kiddos still crack me up and bring joy to my day. This Easter weekend I took the time to enjoy the day, family, the reason for the season. It was glorious. I think I needed to take the time and enjoy life a little more often or at least purposefully.

  6. Great advice! I too need to stay focused and get some fresh inspiration for the rest of the year. Spring weather does always make it hard to stay motivated.
