Eating, Drinking, and Linking (is back!!) + Monday Meet Up + Monday Made It

The gals at the Teaching Tribune are going to make it so much easier for me to get into a blogging groove with their wonderful linkups. Today is the kickoff with "Monday Meet Up" be sure to head to their blog to 'meet' a ton of great teacher bloggers. One such teacher is Diane at Fifth in the Middle, and that's who I want to tell you about!

Diane is one of the first bloggers I had the pleasure of getting to know, through her blogger by state link up. (KS peeps, we need to work on meeting up!)  A Midwestern gal herself, not too terrible far from me in Iowa, we share many common interests including collegiate sports. Although we are close geographically, we are meeting up for the first time in real life at the TpT conference in Vegas! I cannot wait! Maybe some of her creativity and organizational skills will rub off on me ;)   If you haven't checked out her blog please do so!

Love her new button!
Today is the start up to Tara's wonderful Monday Made It linky. I love going through the posts and getting inspired for new projects. I'm hoping in the coming weeks to get more house projects done to share, but for now I'm sharing a gift instead. Today is my second  wedding anniversary, for a gift to us both I created "yearbooks" for each of the years we've been together. I used Shutterfly custom option to add some neat backgrounds and embellishments. Super simple and looks great onscreen, I'm anxiously awaiting the mailman's arrival  later today!

First page... one of my favorite wedding pictures :)

Fun backgrounds and embellishments added to each page.

This week I'm also bringing back my weekly summer linky to  share recipe ideas, clean eats, restaurant recommendations, cool treats, drinks, anything that fits your fancy. During the summer I know I'm more liable to try out a new recipe or to go out to grab a bite to eat, so I thought this would be a fun way to share!

The recipe I am going to share with you comes from one of my favorites: The Pioneer Woman. We've tried several of her recipes and so far all of them have been husband approved, this one is no different. The chicken can be put on a sandwich or eaten in a standalone style. Either way it's a quick meal that's tasty and doable for a school night.

Picture Perfect
Just add cheese and bun, and good for a quick sandwich!

All you need are a few simple ingredients:  boneless, skinless chicken breasts, lemon pepper seasoning, bacon, cheese, and sandwich buns.  If you click either picture above, or {here} it will take you to a step by step picture recipe. It really is a simple dish!

What recipe or restaurant is go-to for you? Be sure to link up all summer long! :)

  1. Can't wait to check out Diane's blog. Welcome Diane to the world of math! As a fifth grade math teacher a lot of your time will be spent on fractions. I would recommend you read A Focus on Fractions this summer! It is full of the latest research but written in a teacher friendly way with lots of examples. It also does a great job of showing how kids learn misconceptions about fractions and what you can do about it.

    1. Thanks! It's only been two years since I taught math, but I now have 90-minute blocks to fill AND a semi-new curriculum...

  4. I linked up a buffalo aioli that I want to try this week- my husband could swim, bathe, and exist on buffalo sauce so this is right up our alley!
