Eating, Drinking, & Linking: Building Better Burgers

I'm still complaining about how fast summer is going. Seriously. Last week of June. Crazy!!!

One of my favorite parts of summer is the work out that our grill gets. I'm lucky to be hitched to a guy who is a "grill master". A title he gave himself, but has lived up to quite well!

A very versatile main dish is the hamburger. We've tweaked it and tried out a few different variations and I wanted to share a couple of quick add-in's for any of you wanting to switch things up.

Inside-Out Bacon Cheese Burgers
from kraft.com

What You Need
1 lb. ground beef
3 T. ranch dressing
seasonings, optional (we usually use a little season salt or Tex-Joy seasoning)
4 slices of bacon, cooked, crumbled
2 slices cheese, quartered
4 hamburger buns
favorite burger toppings

Make It
  • Heat the gril
  • Mix the meat,  2 T. dressing, and seasonings. Shape into 8 thin patties.
  • Combine the rest of the dressing and bacon. Spoon this mixture onto the center of 4 patties. Top with cheese.
  • Pinch edges to seal
  • Grill 7-9 minutes on each side or until they are done.
  • Eat one. Eat another.
So tasty! Less messy too!

Another favorite burger of mine is even simpler!

What You Need

1/2 c. water
2-3 Worcestershire sauce, optional

To Make
In a large bowl combine all ingredients. (We add the Worcestershire sauce for an additional kick). Shape into 8 patties.
Grill or broil until done.

That's it!! Sooooo simple, but man do they adda super kick to an ordinary burger.
